ParticipantHi,
I’m turning 65 soon, and I’m in the process of deciding which Medicare plan to select. I’ve been notified that I’m eligible for the Raytheon Medicare Plus Plan, which is administered by UMR. Is anybody currently using this health plan? If so, do you recommend it?
Thanks!

Participant**Subject: Looking for firsthand experiences with Raytheon Medicare Plus (UMR)**
I’m considering using my Raytheon Medicare Plus retiree coverage with Original Medicare and would appreciate hearing from retirees who currently use this plan.
I’m particularly interested in:
1. Does Medicare automatically forward your claims to UMR, and does the process work smoothly?
2. Does UMR accurately track your medical expenses toward the $1,750 annual out-of-pocket maximum?
3. Have you experienced billing errors, and if so, how difficult were they to resolve?
4. Are your EOBs easy to understand, and can you review your claims and balances online?
5. Overall, are you satisfied with the plan, and would you recommend it?I’ve reviewed the Summary Plan Description, but I’ve received some inconsistent answers from UMR representatives.
I’m especially interested in actual experiences with medical claims rather than general opinions about the company.
Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences!

Participant1. Does Medicare automatically forward your claims to UMR, and does the process work smoothly? A.Yes
2. Does UMR accurately track your medical expenses toward the $1,750 annual out-of-pocket maximum? A. Yes
3. Have you experienced billing errors, and if so, how difficult were they to resolve? A. Medicare is primary, so it determines coverage. UMR numbers have always agreed with Medicare.
4. Are your EOBs easy to understand, and can you review your claims and balances online? A. Yes
5. Overall, are you satisfied with the plan, and would you recommend it? A. Yes, I have been with them for almost 3 years.October 15, 2026 at 9:44 pm in reply to: Subject: Looking for firsthand experiences with Raytheon Medicare Plus (UMR) #13615Ken Welch

ParticipantI agree with John. I have been on the plan for 6 years. Last year I was diagnosed with non hodgekins lymphoma with a few hospital stays, chemo, and many blood tests. Charges were over 1 million. I didn’t keep close tabs but after the $1750 deductible I paid nothing.
I have been in remission for 16 months.
Due to my length of service and legacy TI my premium is 0. I don’t know what it will be for 2027.
Good luck..October 16, 2026 at 12:51 pm in reply to: Subject: Looking for firsthand experiences with Raytheon Medicare Plus (UMR) #13617Ken Welch
ParticipantThank you Neil.
