The difficulty in obtaining response and resolution based on documentation and data is likely more pervasive than the posts represent. The hand off to Alight has not gone well.

I continue to receive incorrect information, unable to obtain a copy of plan documents which would define and provide clarification to responses received from Alight.

Their personnel will write a ticket for issue investigation, receive a reply and then send me to “the other person” or group to obtain explanation and the process starts all over again.

Does anyone have 2022 Medical Health Eligibility Qualifications requirements documentation?

As an organization, can the Association of Raytheon Retirees take progressive action as a uniform voice to support the issues faced by the Retiree group.? Does this group have an interface with Raytheon Corp. to find support for retiree (and maybe even as shareholders) concerns?

    Hello
I retired 8.31.2021 and was wondering if anyone knows when I can expect to receive the prorated portion of my 2021 Result Based Incentive (RBI) payment?

I turn 65 in 2 months and was told by the Raytheon Benefits Advocate that the Raytheon Medicare Plus Plan supplement was comparable to Medicare “G” or “N” plans. Does anyone have any input regarding that statement. I find it hard to believe that it’s accurate. Cost is about $57 a month as opposed to $240 in Florida so I don’t want to make a mistake during my Initial Medicare signup window.
Thank you for any information you can forward.

Absolute nightmare on my end as well. Unfortunately I transitioned from COBRA to “regular” Raytheon retiree insurance in January of this year. I started in September of last year to try to establish how to get regular retiree insurance, but given the transition to Alight, Raytheon Benefits Center would told me that they could not discuss anything related to 2022 insurance as everything was transitioning to Alight. Alight told me that they could not discuss anything with me because Raytheon had not “sent my files” over to them and they basically knew nothing about me. As with others on this thread, it was back and forth for months, with hours on the phone and endless tickets being created. It was not until March that I got anything concrete given to me (verbally) and it came with a promise that all medical expenses would be retroactive to January (and that “I should not worry”). Phase 2 of the nightmare then began. Alight indicated that deductions for insurance premiums would also be retroactive and they would be taking a triple deduction in March to catch up on what I owed for January/February and for the current month of March. So in March, a triple deduction was taken for dental insurance (expected/correct) but only a double deduction was taken for medical insurance. In April, the dental deduction did not revert back to a single month and I was once again hit for a triple dental insurance deduction but was only hit with one month of medical insurance instead of 2. I started to ask about how I was going to be refunded the overpayments and also about the additional month of medical deduction that I still owed. Back and forth several more times with multiple tickets being created and closed. The month of May rolled around and they took yet another triple deduction for dental and but did not take the extra/final medical deduction. However, I did receive a refund of the April dental overpayment. In June I received the May dental overpayment refund and they finally took the remaining back payment for medical. However, I have no confidence that I wont be hit with another double medical payment in July. We will soon see.

Bottom line, there seemed to be no accountability for who was responsible for what, with constant finger pointing between Raytheon Benefits Center and Alight. I received no benefits handbook information or insurance cards from anyone until long after I contacted the actual insurance companies on my own. It was purely accidental that I found the alight website at all as no mailings or emails were ever offered to me on how to make the transition from COBRA to retiree insurance benefits.

Very sorry for the long rant, but the transition from legacy Raytheon to Alight was a nightmare and retirees appeared to be last in line for any help. Hope next month’s deductions are done correctly and this will all be over. Pension payment deductions are definitely handled by alight through their internal contact with the Raytheon Pension group and I sincerely hope that they do a better job for others in the future. Best of luck everyone!

Do you know who to access Avis rental car discounts for Sikorsky retirees? Avis wants an email from UTC but that seems to be impossible! Any suggestions?

Has anyone seen the recent Popular Science article By Kelsey D. Atherton | Published Jul 7, 2023 10:11 AM EDT titled,
“Raytheon asks retirees for help making new Stinger anti-air missiles”?
Subtitle reads, “Stingers are venerable missiles that date to the early 1980s. Because of their use in Ukraine, stockpiles have dwindled.”

    website: https://www.popsci.com/technology/stinger-missiles-raytheon-ukraine/

Does anyone know how interested Raytheon retirees should respond to this request? Please post the contact information that will result in speaking to a real live person that will screen potential Raytheon retiree candidates.

    Thank you

I am trying to determine the usefulness of this group for current employees that are considering long-range retirement plans. If you are interested in discussions and information sharing about the Raytheon non-contributory pension plan please respond on this topic.

    Thank you!

    Hi Michael,
My experience may or may not help you. I worked for legacy Raytheon and had a legacy Hughes Aircraft pension. I discovered that the Alight website was only a “front-end” to my retirement plan’s website, so the Alight website would pass-through my Alight user-id and Alight password. The legacy retirement plan website had different “rules” for the user ID and password than the Alight website and my connection attempt would fail. I needed to speak directly with a retirement plan specialist, who was not an Alight representative, and ask them to change the email address that the retirement plan had on file for me. After this, then I asked them to send me a password reset link. I then used the reset link to set a password that matched my Alight password. Success at last. My problems aside, my experiences with the legacy retirement support has always been professional and effective. My experiences with Alight have been less than satisfactory. In calling Alight, you must (politely) insist that you be connected with the specialist for your plan. This will not be an Alight rep. And be prepared to wait a long time. Take care.
